SAP on IBM Z webcast - SAP on Db2 13 for z/OS

 

On April 5, 2022, IBM announced Db2 13 for z/OS. The webcast covers SAP's certification process for Db2 13 and its benefits for SAP applications. Also, the migration procedure for SAP systems will be described.   

 

Speakers:

  • Bernd Kohler, SAP - Development Manager, SAP on IBM Systems
    Dr. Bernd Kohler joined SAP SE in 1996. He oversees the SAP enablement on IBM Systems platforms (which includes IBM Z, IBM i, AIX, Linux on Power). Before becoming a manager, he worked in a variety of development areas related to the integration of SAP with Db2 for z/OS, in particular life-cycle management tools and zero-downtime technologies.
  • Peter Becker, IBM - Software Developer, SAP on IBM Z, worldwide SAP on IBM Systems technical enablement team
    Peter Becker joined IBM in 1996. Since then he has been technical expert for IBM networking hardware, Db2 for Linux/Unix/Windows, IBM Informix, and Db2 for z/OS. Also, he gained extensive knowledge as an IBM services engineer for Db2 for z/OS and IBM Omegamon. Peter became member of the joined SAP/IBM porting team for SAP on IBM Z in October 2018.
  • Florian Fersch, SAP - Developer, SAP on IBM Z
    Florian Fersch joined SAP SE in 2015. He has been a developer in the "SAP on IBM Z & Db2 for z/OS" platform team since 2018. He is responsible for the development and the maintenance of monitoring and tuning tools within the DBA Cockpit.
