Prior to World AIDSday (December 1st), we are hosting an interactive knowledge session on #WorkingPositively in the IBM Innovation Studio.

#WorkingPositively is a program that invites employers to commit to being visible role models in creating a fully inclusive working environment and support employees living with HIV, and other (chronic) illnesses or disabilities. In The Netherlands, the program is being rolled out by IBM in collaboration with SAP, Aidsfonds, HIV Vereniging and other leading organisations in Diversity, Inclusion and Well-Being.

During this session inspirational leaders and #WorkingPositively ambassadors will explain why this program is important and why they have committed to it. They will share good practices on how to create inclusive working environments.

Together we will elaborate on the #WorkingPositively Pledge, a 10-point commitment that outlines what organisations can do to improve their working environments and provide support for employees facing stigma and discrimination. Several representatives of organisations will sign the pledge during this event, including like SER (Social Economic Council), Shell, and IBM.

The #WorkingPositively program was initiated by the IBM, SAP and the German Aidshilfe. SAP and IBM are supporting the deployment together with local HIV and AIDS organizations in countries around the world. Tackling the fear, stigma, and basic misinformation as main roots of discrimination and exclusion that HIV+ people often face. Creating a welcoming environment for employees regardless of HIV status, medical indication or disabilities.
