The preselected configuration that you select determines the environment that is enabled when IBM Integration Designer starts. You can change the configuration selections during installation or run Installation Manager at a later time to make changes. You can also change your environment later in IBM Integration Designer.

Individual stand-alone profiles for IBM Business Process Manager and Business Monitor are created in separate cells by default, as part of the installation. With these profiles, you can begin to use the test environment immediately.
During the launch pad installation, you supply credentials for the Process Server cell administrator and for the Business Monitor server WebSphere Application Server administrator. Review these considerations:
  • If you specify the same ID for these two user names, no additional post-installation actions are required.
  • If you specify a different ID for each of these two user names, then after installation, you must configure the Business Monitor stand-alone profile to receive events, as described in the following section.
To enable the Business Monitor stand-alone profile to receive events from the BPM stand-alone profile, do the following:
  • In the Servers view, right-click the Business Monitor server and select Configure Business Monitor server.

If not already running, the Business Monitor server and Process Server are started and then each server is configured accordingly.

  • If you specified different user IDs for Process Server cell administrator and Business Monitor server WebSphere Application Server administrator, open the administrative console for the Process Server and add a new user using the ID specified during the installation for the Business Monitor server WebSphere Application Server administrator.
    1. In the Servers view, right-click the Process Server and click Administration > Run Administrative Console.
    2. Enter the Process Server cell administrator credentials to open the administrative console.
    3. Go to Users and Groups > Manage Users.
    4. Click Create to add a new user. Type the ID you used for Business Monitor server WebSphere Application Server administrator in the User ID field and supply the other required information. Save the new user.
    5. Go to Users and Groups > Administrative user roles. Click Add and add the Auditor, Configurator, Monitor, Administrator, Deployer, Operator, and Admin Security Manager roles to the user that you just created. Click OK and save the chances to the master configuration.
    6. Restart the Process Server.
