Typical installations and environments
You select a typical installation configuration from the launchpad when you install IBM® Integration Designer. The preselected configuration that you select determines the environment that is enabled when IBM Integration Designer starts. You can change the configuration selections during installation or run Installation Manager at a later time to make changes. You can also change your environment later in IBM Integration Designer.
IBM Integration Designer for IBM Business Process Manager Advanced - Process Server

- DB2 ExpressNote: DB2 Express is installed only if DB2 is not locally installed. If you are a non-root or non-administrator user, you must already have DB2 installed locally.

Only the Non-production feature can be installed, which indicates that the server can be used only for development, test, or staging.

- If you specify the same ID for these two user names, no additional post-installation actions are required.
- If you specify a different ID for each of these two user names, then after installation, you must configure the Business Monitor stand-alone profile to receive events, as described in the following section.
- In the Servers view, right-click the Business Monitor server and select Configure Business
Monitor server.
If not already running, the Business Monitor server and Process Server are started and then each server is configured accordingly.
- If you specified different user IDs for Process Server cell administrator and Business Monitor server WebSphere Application
Server administrator, open the administrative console
for the Process Server and add a new user using the
ID specified during the installation for the Business Monitor server WebSphere Application
Server administrator.
- In the Servers view, right-click the Process Server and click .
- Enter the Process Server cell administrator credentials to open the administrative console.
- Go to .
- Click Create to add a new user. Type the ID you used for Business Monitor server WebSphere Application Server administrator in the User ID field and supply the other required information. Save the new user.
- Go to Add and add the Auditor, Configurator, Monitor, Administrator, Deployer, Operator, and Admin Security Manager roles to the user that you just created. Click OK and save the chances to the master configuration. . Click
- Restart the Process Server.
IBM Integration Designer
This installation configuration does not include a test environment. Only the Integration Designer package is selected for installation.
IBM Integration Designer for WebSphere DataPower (Deprecated)
This installation configuration works directly with the WebSphere DataPower Appliance, and does not include a test environment. Only the Integration Designer package is selected for installation. This function is deprecated.
