ITM Agent Insights: AAA-SYS-0001 Error When Accessing Tivoli Common Reporting

This blog will help you understand the cause of the AAA-SYS-0001 Error received while accessing the Tivoli Common Reporting (TCR) portal. The blog will also help you get past the error. This issue can occur on any release of JazzSM (TCR) mainly when LDAP is used and the LDAP users access the TCR portal.

 

You will see the following symptom once you login to DASH and click the TCR icon:

This issue occurs because the "user" and "group" with the same names exist in LDAP.

Example: username = test belongs to group name = test

 

Since this is a known issue and current limitation in TCR, the resolution is to have a unique user and group name in LDAP.

Example: username = test belongs to group name = class

 

Once the issue is resolved the reports will show up in TCR and you should be able to run the required reports.
