Problem
Using Internet Explorer 11 in 32-bit mode and WebGUI FP8, the OMNITool plugin fails to install on the broswer.
Symptom
The following message is displayed each time an attempt is made to install the plugin:
The link to Event Viewer is no longer active. Once the plugin is installed you must re-run the tool.
Cause
Internet Explorer is running in IE8-compatible mode.
Environment
Internet Explorer 11
Resolving The Problem
Check that Internet Explorer is not running in Compatibility Mode for the WebGUI page/site via:
Tools --> Compatibility View Settings
The plugin will not work when Internet Explorer 11 is in IE8-Compatibility Mode, because that configuration makes it incompatible with the latest JSON version libraries required for the tool.
